I've always brewed it hot and then chilled it to drink later. Never thought anything of it. Let's see if someone chimes in with a little more info.
I can't find this info. on web searching.
Is brewing Green Tea hot, and then letting it cool, more beneficial (nutritionally) than just dipping the tea bag in cold water?
Thanks.

I always brew it in my coffee maker and pour it over ice. I don't think it makes a difference, but also don't know that for sure. I do know it makes 2 quarts in one shot, as opposed to having to do it one serve at a time.

The release of the flavours (and probably the anti-oxidants etc) is faster/better into hot water - so you would probably be better off brewing it correctly and then letting it cool..Originally Posted by Mr_Snafu
