    Need Help. Just starting out

    Hey everyone,

I am just starting to try and build some muscle and get healthy. I am 40 something and generally lazy. I have a very high metabolism, I'm 5'11 160lbs (so really skinny other than my belly )

I am looking for some ideas of diets, what should I eat, when, how much as well as a workout routine.

    Can anybody help?

    Thanks
    Dave

    Hello and welcome!

Good to see you starting to get serious about your health! But wow - 5'11 and only 160 lbs! It doesn't sound like you have a lot to lose! So you are lucky - It is probably more of a case of focusing on gaining muscle than just losing fat (much more fun that pure dieting)!

If you want to read some information that you might find helpful you can start with these threads:
    Basic diet and routine guidelines
    Jodi's Guide

They set out the basic principles that you will need to follow....

Then have a go at setting up a basic routine and diet for yourself and post it again - that way we can all take a look and help you out!

    Good luck!
