1.5 grams of protein x Your Bodyweight = Your daily protein.
Lose the pasta in spaghetti unless it's wheat pasta that will make your blood sugar rise then of course you will gain fat.
White pasta / bread = I avoid.

Thanks I usually avoid white pasta or breads, and usually I make my own pasta.
Thanks for the input I'll try to avoid in general
I don't think you have enough protein and your carb choices are poor. You should think about oats, sweet potatoes, brown rice, better grains. I would need more detail on your diet than what you specified to help.Originally Posted by walhar

I have been training for about 12 weeks now and lost just over 15lbs. My goal was generalally just to look better, Even though I am happy with the weight loss I need to develope my body better. I am off to florida for vacation at the end of the week so for the next few weeks I will be running and focusing on fat loss. When I get back Dec. 29 I plan to get real serious on shaping up. I think I will cut the cardio and work on building muscle for a few months then cut, I am just trying to figure out the correct game plan for when I get back. I need to learn how long I should and what I should eat for building and the same for fat loss. I guess I have a guestion lots of people do should I kill the fat first or build the muscle first, since I can't do both at the same time,\. I have a picture in the new members forum that will give you a better idea of my body.
Here is the answer to your questions
Vector is a cereal from kellogs - I think I will switch it for eggs and oats or red river.
My first shake is just a protein powder shake nothing more.
I always eat multi-grain bread never white.
Should I add the nuts to the morning shake?
Yes I use a wheat pasta and I do my best to make it myself rather then buy the dried stuff.
I have already started adding my protein in my diet. just need more suggestions.
I don't know what else to say about my diet I eat small portions. mostly lean meats 5 meals a day. I never eat Whites usually multi grain. I do have a sweet tooth but have been pretty good at not indulging it. So no sweets once in awile maybe once in 2 weeks I will have something small.
Thank you so much for any input!!! I am trying desperately to have a gameplan for when I get back I'm feeling alittile lost. I feel there is so many conflicting opinions. I do work really hard and always keep on track when I have a plan. I just don't want to do something and not get results.
I have posted my picture and some info about me in the new members forum that might give you some more info.
Thanks again
