    good and bad calories

are all calories the same...? I'm 18, 5'8, 140pounds and today I'm gonna start taking around 3 or 4000 calories per day, but wich calories should I avoid, does it really matter ich I consume if I workout 5 days a week and burn most of them?

Yes. All 'calories' are the same - they are all units of energy.

If you are asking if all food is the same - then no. Different foods have different macronutrients (fat, carbs, protein) and will have different nutrients, vitamins, minerals and fibre content... They will serve different purposes in your body and you will need different levels of these depending on your goals.

If you check out the sticky at the top of the forum ( Jodi's Guide too... ) you can get an idea of the types of things you want to eat.
