    what to eat before weight loss workout ?

    should the meal be light on carbs or fat ?

    Doesn't really matter to be honest. Workout 'energy' is more a function of what you've eaten since your last workout than what you eat right before your next workout.

    As well, where the calories come from during your workout is not relevant (ie. fat, glycogen, etc). What matters is calories burned and the end-of-day deficit.

    I agree with what Thunder says, however, I also believe that your pre-workout meal should be lower in fat and your post workout meal, have no fat.

    My preworkout meal has been high in fat (because there's no carbs in it) for as long as I can remember. I rarely eat carbs in the meal preceding my workout. The only exception would be if I was training early in the day.

    Seems to make no difference for me.
