INGREDIENTS:
WATER, WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR, WHEAT FLOUR, CANOLA OIL, STEEL CUT OATS, EVAPORATED CANE JUICE, FLAXSEED, DRIED HONEY, BAKING POWDER (CALCIUM ACID PHOSPHATE, SODIUM BICARBONATE, CORN STARCH), INULIN FIBER, SALT, CALCIUM CARBONATE, SOY LECITHIN, CINNAMON, XANTHAN GUM, POMEGRANATE EXTRACT
I'm no expert on Evaporated Cane Juice, Xanthan Gum, Calcium Acid Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Calcium Carbonate, or Soy Lecithin, but I'm willing to bet that when you have 18 different ingredients, at least a few of them aren't good for you. And a few out of 18 usually translates to 3 or 4.
I think mine's better:
Up Country Organics Multigrain Pancake & Waffle Mix
Ingredients: Wheat Flour*, Corn Meal*, Buckwheat Flour*, Leavening (Monocalcium Phosphate, Baking Soda), Salt.
*=organic.
(and I stir in ground flaxseed, raw wheat germ and oat fiber)
When you only have six ingredients, there ain't as much that can go wrong.
But of course, the big difference is that mine's a mix and yours is pre-made. Being pre-made almost by definition makes it less healthy.
Skip it and eat oats
