    Difference Between Carbs

Besides a cup of oats in the morning, two slices of wheat bread with my sandwhich, and a small portion of some filling carb at night, i got all my carbs from fruits.

what are the differences between carbs? is it okay to get all my carbs from fruit, or atleast the majority of them?

I guess it depends if you're ok with all the sugar from the fruits. Personally, I eat 2 (sometimes 3) pieces of fruit per day.

dude add some complex carbs like brown rice, yams/sweet potatos, or sprouted grain bread.

I think you need a variety of carbs dont you?

Also are you bulking or cutting?

i supposed im bulking because im definitly not cutting, but not really looking to go back to the weight i was before near 180.

i really do, huh. i've been napping after school, and then going to the gym and downing some grape juice works out so quickly...

I think it's wise to add complex carbs like brown rice and yams. Even if its for the increased nutrient content... It's just what ive been taught. I dont even really know the answer to this question... Can we get an expert in here?

But I'm going to be honest. I'm talking right outta my ass. Smell that? Thats my ass talking. I honestly have no idea why you need complex carbs.

Ummm yeah, I would think about adding in some starchy carbs. 1 cup of oats and 2 slices of bread are not adequate imo. You need more muscle glycogen and fruit is known more for liver glycogen Fruit does help some with muscle glycogen but not enough.

If you are bulking then you will probably need to add in some starchy carbs just to get the calories density required (although you could just jack up the fats instead)...

But if you were cutting you could probably get away with just using fruit, vegetables and a bit of dairy as your primary carb sources +/- a little starchy/sugar stuff around workouts.

    another great post.

im really trying to stay inbetween cutting and bulking, yet not in the maintenance mode because im wanting to get bigger through HIT.

i'm probably doing just fine with the whole wheat bread, the oats in the morning, and the brown rice/sweet potato at dinner amonst all the fruits, dairy, and veggies.

excellent help, you two. much appreciated.

That's basically what I do, with less on veggies and more on fruit...

I have tried every frickin green...I hate them all with the except of green beans...which get old fast.
