    Cutting.....

I have a question. I have gone from 24% bf to 24% bf. I was eating maintenance calories, usually half chicken, half carb (small portions of carbs, potatoe (1/2), or rice (1/2 cup) etc etc)

I cant seem to get under 14%. Ive been having trouble for a few weeks, and it has unmotivated me. I want to know what a fail safe training / dieting program will get me to -10%.

Is it me? does it just happen to be really hard? is that what heavy cutting agents like winny are for? im not lookin to get down to 3,4%, im lookin for 9 maybe 8 percent. I am a endomorph and seem to be carb sensitive.

I have been eating 6 meals a day, 400,300,300,300,300,200 calories, every 3 hours (pretty much on the hour), all 50/40/10 for me, and doing 1 hour morning cardio before breakfast, and weights then 1 hour cardio in the evening.... trying to burn 2 lbs a week....

Is there a better method to speed up the process? Am i doing something wrong? Thanks.

    24% to 14% I'm imagining Doola means.

and, by the way, if you're trying to lose 2 lbs per week and you are reasonably close to that level, I'd say that sounds fine. Rapid weight loss is rarely a good idea.

You sound very systematic in your calorie and macro intake. That can be a bit stultifying (that's a word, right?). Your metabolism might benefit from mixing it up a little. Instead of taking in 1800 calories every single day and at the same hourly intervals, try taking in 2000 one day and 1500 the next, etc etc.

If you stopped losing you are eating too much man...as you get smaller your body requires less to operate. Therefore what had you losing weight at 24% will have you flat at 14%. You need to reevaluate your maintenance level now. Same thing happens to me on a bulk, 4500 will get me going up but only for so long, then I level off and need to bump the cals up.

What are you eating? 50% carbs? I think you should cut back on those. 10% is too low of a fat intake too. I wouldn't go lower than 20%. Too little fat will cause a drop in testosterone. I think you're overtraining too.

Try cutting back on carbs and do some carb cycling. There's all sorts of ways to do it. The simplest one for me is to take in 1g of carbs per Ib. of bodyweight for 3 days and on the 4th day take in twice that amount. For low carb days your only source of carbs for the last 2 or 3 meals should come from veggies like broccoli and cauliflower. For the first few meals stuff like oats and brown rice. On the higher carb day you can have oats and other good carbs at every meal.

A lot of people do their own version of carb cycling and refeeds etc. I like to keep it simple cause it's easier to stick with for me.
