That's a shitty diet no matter what time you eat it. You're going to get fat.

Cottage cheese is good. Slow digesting protein.

At bed time, eat 1 cups ff cottage cheese. Or do as I do, 40g casein protein in water.

well the reason for cottage cheese, and casein. is they are slow release protein. Because when u sleep your body also goies through a fasting stage. You also recover at this time, so eat what I listed.

    Try this

    35g casein protein
    1 tbsp flax seed(oil)
    and like 1/2 ounce almonds.

this way the fat and fiber, will slow down the rate it is absorbed. Good luck.
These are my dreams, which I must make reality!

    a. Plain chicken is fine (sure, it digests faster than casein, but that is not the end of the world - total calories for the day, and an even level of protein taken through the day, are much more important in the grand scheme of thing). I would probably add some fibre and fats (eg: smear on 1tbs peanut butter and have a cup broccoli as well).

    b. All things that give your body some form of energy (eg: carb, protein and fat... also alcohol... and fibre too if you want to be exact) can be converted to fat if eaten in excess of your bodies requirements for anabolic needs or general energy....

Don't eat anything before bed. It will ruin your sleep cycle.

Just a suggestion, you guys like to eat 3 whole eggs, 3 eggs whites cooked in 1 Tbsp of Enova oil about 30-45 minutes before bed? Just to switch things up, you know?

If you want to eat it, and it fits into your total, then do...

The fat will delay the digestion a bit, but it will still not be as slow as if it where a casein protein... But that is not a hugely significan problem. It would help if you added some fibre to it (you could mix in some psyllium?)

Personally - it has a little too much fat for my liking.
