    Roadhouse Grill...

Anyone ever go to this reastaurant in the states?

I ended up going here tonight...Didn't really want to but my friends literally dragged me...

One of our friends works there so he "hooked us up" with free meals.

10 oz sirloin steak, sweet potatoe, house salad...

How bad is this? Is a sirloin steak lean? I didn't say no butter/sauces, do places usually cook steaks in oil/butter?

I'm telling you the more I cheat, the more I hate it. If it were up to me, I would have no life, and just eat perfect 24/7/365 days.

most restaurants cook steaks with butter to keep them juicy and sweeter, but it won't kill you. It's a pretty healthy meal, but it probably had a lot of calories. Steps backwards are what you want to avoid. Just get back on your diet tomorrow and keep going, and it won't be an issue.

Yeap most places litterally lather the butter all over the steaks. What you can do next time is to tell them no butter. I've done that many times and the server doesn't get "spazzed out" by that request. They must get plenty of requests for no butter 'cuz they don't ever seem surprised by it.

Did you throw your peanut shells on the floor?

One cheat won't kill you, and that was definitely a cheat.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

Would eating less today and tommorow, or doing cardio today help at all?

Don't worry too much about that cheat. Cheats every "once in awhile" will actually stimulate your metabolism. I have only met one bodybuilder who ate clean all the time. He was a top US amateur bodybuilder, and he would treat himself once or twice a year. He once hiked like 15 miles to this restaurant because he wanted some cheesecake and then there he washed down the cheesecake with a proteinshake.

This is how I recover from a big cheat meal the night before.

    Texas Roadhouse's Buttery Diner Rolls

    Directions

    3 cups all-purpose flour
2 (1/4 oz.) pkg. active dry yeast
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tablespoon sugar
    1/4 cup nonfat dry milk
1-1/4 cup warm water (105-115 degrees)
    1 large egg slightly beaten
    8 tablespoons butter melted
2 tablespoons butter flavored vegetable shortening

    Directions

Place 2 cups flour in a large mixing bowl. Add yeast, salt, sugar and
dry milk. Set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine water and egg and stir
to blend. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour
water mixture into the well. Mix by hand, beating 150 strokes and
frequently scraping bottom and sides of bowl. Add 1/2 of the melted
butter and beat to incorporate. Add remaining flour, about 1/3 cup at
a time, beating to incorporate each addition. Cover bowl with plastic
wrap. Set dough in a warm, draft free place such as oven with a pan
of the hottest tap water on the rack below.

Allow batter to rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour. Coat cups,
bottoms and sides of 12 cup muffin pan (or two small round pans) with
shortening. Punch down batter (batter will be extremely soft and
sticky). Drop by hand or spoonful into prepared muffin cups to make
12 rolls (or in pan touching the next). Brush dough with 1/2
remaining melted butter. Let rise uncovered in a warm draft free
place until doubled in bulk, about 30 minutes. In preheated 400
degree oven, bake rolls on middle rack for 16-18 minutes. Brush tops
of baked rolls with remaining melted butter.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.
