Too much protein = Too much energy = Fat storage
If it fits in your daily calorie intake thats fine
What are the consequences of having a bulking diet with 'too much' protein? Does the body just store it as fat as it would excess carbs or fats?

Excess, is converted to glucose (mainly)... What happens to this depends on your overall calorie balance... If you are in calorie deficiency, it will be used as energy. If you are in calorie excess or if you do not need that energy then it will be stored as glycogen or fat.
