If I cook all of my meals in one go for the week will they be alright just stored in the fridge in airtight containers? I usually cook my batches of food twice a week (Sunday and Wednesday) but I don't have time to do that any more. I'm a little weary about the food lasting the entire week.
My diet consists of the usual things: chicken, sweet potato, brown basmati rice, quinoa, pearl barley, red lentils, the usual fiberous vegetables. I did think about freezing some of the meals. I'm just not convinced that they will turn out that great doing things this way. |
Proteins are good... Fats are good... Carbs are the problem!

I say it is fine - although some suggest that you should use the chicken within 3-4 days... But if it is in an airtight container in a cold part of the fridge then it should not be a huge problem.
If you are concerned then yes - you could freeze the portions. They will turn out fine (just take them out of the freezer the night before you need them). |
