Hey,
Im 18 years old, 220 pounds, and 6 foot. Im trying to lose body fat and get lean and cut. I was wondering if you could critique my diet/workout plan. Im currently taking Hydroxycut and drinking a little over a gallon of water daily.
Morning: 25 Minute Cardio, Protein Shake (Whey), 2 eggs
Lunch: Salad with low fat dressing
Afternoon: 1 hour workout switching between triceps/chest and biceps/back daily.
Dinner: Usually Brown Rice and Grilled Chicken or a type of Meat and a sweet potato. Whey Protein Shake.
Morning: 25 Minute Cardio, Protein Shake (Whey), 2 eggs
I will not get into the debate on fasted cardio..
But you need to add something to this meal... 2 eggs + some whey = an awful lot of protein and not much else. What about you at least add some vegetables?
Lunch: Salad with low fat dressing
Add protein.
Ditch the 'low fat dressing' and add some avocado or olive oil instead.
Afternoon: 1 hour workout switching between triceps/chest and biceps/back daily.
Firstly - ummmm.. legs??
Anyway - You want to have something about an hour before you workout - some carbs and protein (eg: oats, yoghurt, fruit, whey, egg whites etc)
Then have something when you are finished. eg: some whey, a banana, some skim milk.
Dinner: Usually Brown Rice and Grilled Chicken or a type of Meat and a sweet potato. Whey Protein Shake.
Drop the whey.
Add vegetables.
Add healthy fats.
Daily: Great Ab workout + pushups.
Why work your abs daily??
You might want to check out the sticky at the top of the page (guide to...) because your diet is really unbalanced (not a lot of fruit or vegetables, not enough healthy fats or helpful carbs when you need them and you are also not eating frequently enough).
If you read through that it might give you more ideas which will help you put together something better.
