    Replacing white rice with brown

    Hello Friends,
I am an Indian and rice is a staple part of my diet and it is very easy to cook too. I know that white rice is fattening but I have no other option since that takes the least time to cook. Do you think it is ok if I replace white rice with brown rice or is it so that it makes no difference? Is there a website that advises you on what to eat and has easy to cook meals?

    White Rice isn't fattening

you could try cooking up a bunch of Brown rice at the beginning of the week to use throughout the week.

    What are your goals?

I would like to reduce my chubby cheeks and the fat around my waist. I would overall like to reduce my intake of fat. I lose about 200 cals on the treadmill daily though.

Brown rice contains more nutrition and fibre. The taste takes a little getting used to initially. It also takes longer to cook than white rice. You can eat it just as you would eat white rice.

Reduction of fat is all about diet in wherein total calories count. Yes you need to choose healthier foods and keep your fat intake reasonable. Have you checked the sticky 'guide to ...'? It is excellent in helping you put to gether an effective diet. Dont forget to train hard as well. Not just cardio.
