I think you are overthinking things. It probably won't make too much of a difference either way. It's still all about total caloric intake on those days that you would shift more calories in the direction of protein and fats. Granted, protein has a much higher thermic effect than the other macronutrients, but overall that won't make a really significant difference.Originally Posted by r0dxx
In terms of making the calories lower on non-workout days, you certainly can. Lots of people do that, and it does make sense. I personally don't do that, partly because I try to workout every day, but I like to keep things simple. Just make sure the average daily intake is where you want it to be.
