whether or not you need that quantity will depend on your size but fruit, milk (skim), oats, protein powder and a fat (eg: PB) is always a good combination.

i would ditch the skim.....go for whole milk, or even better, Half & Half cream......i think people forget that FAT..... helps increase your natural hormones. if you disagree, thats fine, but keep in mind that old time bodybuilders such as larry scott, dave draper, don howorth and even arnold would consumer higher fat diets at times to help gain.

I say throw in some type of healthy fat source. Olive oil, nuts/nut butters, hempseed oil, fish oil, etc.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

How many you will need depends on what else/how much else you are eating during the day.

Personally - If you are going to drink one, I would drink it earlier in the day and have something slower to digest just before bed...
