    Question 3 times a day

I work with this guy that is a total doosh but he is about 5'9 and 180 pounds and he is pretty damn lean. I noticed that every time I see him it seem like he is drinking a protien shake. So the other day I asked him if that is all he ever drinks and he tells me that drinks them for 3 or 4 meals a day out of six he eats a big breakfast and fixes something mid evening. He says he has been doing this for aboout 8 months now and he has really leaned up. HE tells me that he doesnt have time to fix anything during the day wich I know is a crock because he doesnt do shit all day but LOL!! but any way that cant be healthy can it??? I think its myoplex delux that he makes. I was just curious to what all of yall thought of thaT

Use your brain. Does this sound like a healthy balanced diet?

Where do you think he is getting his micronutrients, antioxidants and healthy fiber from? Does he exercise daily?

Don't be fooled. There is always a price paid for taking short-cuts.

Will it work? Yes, anything that puts you in a negative energy balance will cause you to lose fat.

Is it healthy? No. Any type of diet that restricts the intake of certain food groups is a bad idea in my opinion. Why would you want a diet devoid of nutrition? Is being lean the only thing you care about? I know some people would respond yes, but I hope you don't.

Just eat a healthy balance of fats, carbohydrates, and protein. Make sure you eat several servings of vegetables and some fruit each day. Drink lots of water. Try to stick with healthy fat sources, avoiding those which are excessively high in saturated and trans fats. Avoid carbohydrate sources which cause an unecessarily high increase in blood sugar and insulin levels. Get a variety of complete protein sources in your diet. Etc, etc...
