Question looe body fat in a month

Is it a realistic goal to loose 1 or 2% body fat in a month? how much is too much?

I was reading an Interview with Diego Sanchez, from the UFC, found here:

http://www.ausmma.com/amma/interview24.html

From that article:

"Sanchez: For that fight I trained eighteen days with Rob Garcia. In eighteen days I was able to get my body fat from 12 to 6 and get in the best shape of my life."

Is it possible to lose body fat that quickly?

As of March 06
Age: 20
Height: 5'6
Weight: 140 lbs

Goal for May 06
Achieve 10% bodyfat

I think 1-2% in a month is very attainable.

I doubt he lost that much in less than 3 weeks.

If he did, he probably didn't do it "naturally". However if he did do it naturally, he must have lost alot of LBM in the process. A fight would def. not want to lose LBM, therefore....he used steroids! case closed!

yes its possible depending on where you are now. it you'r at 9% then it would be difficult but possible, if your at 20% then it would be pretty easy.

Depends on your weight now, your body fat% now and your genetic predisposition to losing BF.

But 1-2% is very do-able for most people.

im sure diego sanchez did not lose that fat naturally, as in im sure he used fat burners, creatine products, etc.... but i dont know why everyone assume steroids or shit like that.

i think he dropped from the 205 weight class to the 185 if im not mistaken

he was a small 205 and now a natural 185...therefore i think its fairly possible

then again everything i just said could be completely wrong

Lol ya pretty much. He was originally at 185 lbs then he dropped to the 170 lb weight class. I just couldn't get over how much leaner he looked from losing just 15 lbs....cause he looked kind of big when he was 185 lbs on the Ultimate Fighter.
