Whole eggs x4 - safe daily?

Soon I will be in control of my diet again, once I go on summer break.

I've already narrowed down most of my diet, but I'm starting to look back into eggs again. I've read numerous threads on how egg yolks do not effect LDL cholesteral. But I've also read how too many of these yolks are unhealthy.

Would it be safe to consume 4 whole eggs, every day. I would do this for about 10 weeks, and then probably take a break from eating them (I have not consistantly had them in the past 6 months because I couldn't stand them).

I know this topic has been covered lately, but I've read so many mixed thoughts on it. I might have missed a few threads on it too.

Personally, I'd go with 1 whole egg, and another 4 egg whites, but your choice.

you'll be fine eating 4whole eggs, I've been eating 4-6 whole eggs everyday for a looong time, i have had my cholesterol checked twice a year and it's perfect. Now I occasionally take a break on the weekends just to have variety and so on. But for ten weeks like you suggested, that won't be a problem if your somewhat active, which is already presumed.

I honestly think eating JUST egg whites is a waste, 6grams of protein are in an egg....half of them are in the egg yolk, throw away the yolk, now you have about 3 grams........which means you have to eat twice the amount of eggs (not to mention you have to buy more eggs more often) to get what you would out of 4 or 6 whole eggs...

And another thing, (while i'm on a slight rant here) Frank Zane, Arnold, Larry Scott, Vince Gironda and a LARGE amount of bodybuilders from the earlier days, used to consume dozens of WHOLE eggs a day for months at a time, and none of them have had heart attacks due to it.

I wouldn't worry about cholesterol, but there is a good amount of fat in 4 whole eggs. I wouldn't worry about it too much though.

Yes, those are the two things I've seen in so many threads- doesn't effect cholesteral, but has a good amount of fats.

Sounds great though, thanks for the input.
