Eating right but not gaining size? how is it done?

I dont understand this? I look at some pro-body builders and professional athletes meal plans (which are good respectively) and I wonder how they maintain their size and make gains when in reality they are eating healthy but not alot of calories.

    Another example.....
Ryan Reynolds...... we all seen how cut up he was in Blade 3, nice size and ripped as well!! how did he add just muscle with no fat and stay ripped and lean w/ size.

If I eat right, I get ripped and lean but get no growth in muscle size.... is there some secret Im missing here!!! Seems like I gotta eat a hell of a lot to make little gains but then my abs/stomach get shot to hell!!! ahhhhhh!

as for the pro's, and famous ones, it's called genetics/steroids/and sometimes both. Point being.....if you wanna get bigger. Eat bigger. Yeah, if your like 90% of us, your gonna gain fat while your eating to gain....this is life....It happens to a lot of us, it kinda sucks. Bulk it up, don't worry about the abs and the fat gain over the winter, come spring, start to tighten the diet up and shed the fat, while trying to keep the meat you packed on. It's not easy, but if you diet GRADUALLY, you can keep a large % of the muscle.

As said above, most of the pro's have good genetics but don't ever underestimate the use of steroids and massive cycles can do to a body.
