Low-carb Pasta???

Has anyone seen, or tasted this stuff? I was just buying my secretary a card and saw this stuff. It is Due Amici Pasta Lite -- Low Carb Pasta (80% Less Carbs). One serving (3/4 cup) breaks down as follows:
Fat: 1g
Total Carbs: 10g
Fiber: 7g
Sugar: 3g
Protein: 28g

Sounds decent, wonder how it tastes. I bought to bags and I'll let ya know. Also, its DAMN expensive -- $4.99 a pound! Let me know if you know where tpo get it cheaper (unless its nasty).

W8, what do you think? Boil it up and add some flax?

The ingredients are defatted soy flour, egg white, durum wheat semolina, gum gluten, and isolated soy proteins.

You mean DPW8! I have 4 different kinds in my store including that one which comes in 5 shapes
(get the Capellini), it's very good, a little spongy, absorbs flavor very well. OK for a long slow cut, not the best for a strict cut!

Pastalia is even better 30 P 10 C (7 ECC) 1 F

Sorry DP, didn't mean to leave you out, jyst that W8 is better looking!

Thanks for the input. Yeah, I saw the different types. I think you know I am on a strict cut, but was thinking of having it on my high carb days (2 per weeks). Maybe just once and a while -- not like I am training for a show!!!

How is that price? What do you sell them for? Didn't know you had a store, where? Chain or local? PM me if this stuff isn't appropo for a forum.

Correct, it's from soy, BYOM (meat, poultry, fish)!

Twin Peak, it's my store, not a chain, maybe after I've contributed here for a while, the powers that be will allow me to post a link in my signature?

Thanks for asking!
