    Whey Protein.

I found a new store around my work and it has a lot of and lots of supplements, Im almost out of my current whey protein jar, and I was going to buy a new one but There were so many choices I didnt know which to pick, there was about 4-5 kinds. Anyone suggest any good ones?, I was thinking of getting that Micellar Casein cause i need more calcium and that had lots, which ones should i buy?
    Thanks .

Whey protein is what you need if you're consuming it around workouts as it's fast digesting. Casein protein is too slow digesting to use around workouts - it'f fine as a pre-bed drink since you want slow digesting stuff during the night.

Id personally not worry about vitamins in the powder...you can always get multivitamins and save some on the supplement since it wont have as much stuff in it..I take GNC whey, but im thinking of switching because ppl said GNC is overpriced.

I've been looking as EAS and it seems ok, but last time I used it it make my stomach cramp and gave me really bad wind, so I think I am gonna stick with ON whey protein.

I hate to repeat, but whatever protein you get, do NOT get vanilla flavored. Besides a lot of things affect what protein you can get. Example, I am poor, so that narrows it down.

I buy cheaper protein and vanilla doesn't mix as well as chocolate. I have also found that chocolate tastes better in all the different types of protein I have used. Of course this is just opinion, but an opinion is what digital asked for.

Chocolate mint is ok, though I tasted my workout partner's and it was too sweet. Solution to that was to mix it with plain chocolate flavored so you still get the mint with the chocolate w/o the sickening sweet taste.

I have the same issues as leg_press. Whey kills my stomach and I prefer not to talk about the other side effects. I've tried several varieties including isolate but the all affect me the same way. If anybody out there is having the same issues as I am and have found a product that works for you let me know. Thanks.

sandiegorob, I used to have that problem but only with EAS whey protein, I get on ok well with ON's whey products, as well as Muscle Tech, which I now agree is far too over priced. CNP made me gag, dunno about Cyclone or Pro Max from Maximuscle, are they worth trying?

Thanks LP. I'll keep trying to find the one that works best for me. This thread may be dead by the time I find what I need so I'll send you a PM with my results.

sandie, not sure which 1's you have tried but I personally would advise Optimum Nutrition Strawberry flavour whey.

does the O.N. Whey dissolve/mix with milk and water instantly by mixing or shaking, or does it need to be put in a blender? I'm at college and don't have constant access to a blender, so if it just mixes this would be great for me! please let me know, thanks!

Nmoy, ON mixes best in a shaker, mixing with a spoon isnt ideal, and I only use a blender if I am gonna add fruit or ice.

    Somehow carmel nut sounds nasty

a 'shaker' as in one of those closed large drinking containers that you just throw the powder in and shakeup? If so then cool, thats not a problem at all!
