EFA's? Flax oil, Fish oil, Borage oil!!!

I just have a question on when to take the Omega 3's and 6's?

For breakfast I have 1 Tbsp flax oil, 2 fish oil caps, 1 borage oil cap....

then for my next 3-4 meals (excluding pwo shake) I take 2 fish oil caps and only 1 more borage oil cap at one of the meals.

For my bedtime shake I take 1/2 Tbsp Flax oil, 2 fish oil caps/ 1 borage oil cap.

so my total for the day is....

1 1/2 Tbsp of flax seed oil
    8-10 fish oil caps
    3 borage oil caps

Is this ok for omega 3 and 6 supps?

more the reason why you dont want to add efas. It slows absorption of the digestion of food for energy.

dont you want slow digesting food pre-workout... to sustain the energy levels?

for some reason, I have been feeling very very good (energy, mood, strength wise) since I started supplementing regularly with EFA's!!!

I eat fats (EFA's) for breakfast.

Why wouldn't you? By your logic we wouldn't want fats with any meals.

Yes there has been a fast for about 8 hrs during the night. But I don't see any reason in neglecting an essential part of your diet?

this only slows food digestion. Why would you want to prolong your fast-especially when energy is needed before training. Sounds kind of redundant doesnt it?

I am pretty sure Fats slow Gastric emptying.

Why would I just eat protein and Carbs? Why would I want an insulin spike first thing in the AM?

Assuming you are trying to shed a few pounds this would lead to a desire to snack outside of set meal times.

Assuming you are trying to gain weight, it is easy calories.

I see where Jug is coming from with regards for instant available energy...
but for me I have at least an 1 to 1 1/2 hours between breakfast and the start of my morning workout..... so by the time I hit the gym all the slow burning complex carbs are starting to kick in for my workout!!! It just depends on how fast you are going to start your workout from your breakfast er... pre workout meal............

there isnt a spike with oats and whey. Thats the point-use it as a slow burning energy source.
As for you billy, thats more than ample time to get to the gym and have a fresh supply of slow burning energy. Besides, it takes about an hour to wake up with the coffee anyway, so youre good.

i never said anything in my logic about skipping fats all together. I take in 12g of fish oil alone not to mention the other sources such as PB, flax and loive that are a part of my daily diet.

i'm saying for those such as myself and billy, this is not a favorable situation to be in where we need that energy. EFAs can wait until after the breakfast/Post workout.
