    cafeine + protein

    i read some articles saying that tea and caffiene should not be consumed with meals cause it ruins the absorption of the body to protein....is this right or just crap?

    I think caffienes effect is fairly minimal on protein absorption if any. ... been so long since I heard that.

    I've never heard of that. I tend to avoid taking caffeine with food though cause then I don't feel the effects of it as much.

    200 mg or so about 45 minutes before I lift. Green tea extract I think is more of an anti-oxidant more than anything so that might be better off taken with a meal. I don't use it myself. I don't think there's a whole lot of caffeine in it is there? I thought it was something like a cup of coffee's worth or less. I wouldn't even feel 80mg of caffeine.
