This thread really dissapointed me, I had high hopes for it.

/sadness
are you serious? i can never know with you guys, but i'll give it a go anyway.
egg beaters are just egg whites in a carton unless i'm mistaken so they are fine.
oatmeal is fine, just stay away from the flavored/instant stuff if you are really strict and/or dieting for a show or something.
veggies are okay but watch the sodium in the canned kind. read the ingredients if all it says is carrots, lettuce etc etc then your good.
whole wheat bread is okay in moderation. it also depends on where you are in terms of body comp and where you want to go.
red meat is fine but watch your saturated fat intake
milk is also okay but watch the sugar and fat (saturated).
bacon is bad, nitrites=carcinogenic
corn tortilla chips can be okay sometimes and in moderation but as with the whole bread it depends on certain factors like genetics, body comp, goals. ie if you are a 'hardgainer' then they aren't as bad for you as say an endomorph and both types of people would have to stay away from them when seriously cutting.

philedelphia fresh made fatfree farmers cheese
label says each serving has 5 gr protein, 1 gr carb and 0 sugar but then it says 15 cals per serving. Add the macros it makes 24 cals so either the macros are wrong or the cal amount. Anyways i love this stuff but i still am not sure if its bad during a cut. The only ingredient stated is grade A pasteruized skim milk

Will that mean you'll stop humping me?Originally Posted by BigDyl
Whole wheat bread. Did you know that the government will soon be regulating this language. Lots of diabetics out there are having a hell of a time trying to understand why they can't keep their sugar levels in check. I have been staying away from all bread and eating oats insted. I'm better for it. I have to question any whole grain bread that has a shelf life of two weeks or more. If the mold doesn't want it than surely my body doesn't want it either.
heat is heat. for example you denature egg protein when you make it in a skillet, the protein is denatured by the heat and precipitates. i'd say if that food needs to be cooked to a certain degree, you can use whatever heat source you want to cook it.Originally Posted by BigDyl

the government does regulate language on packages. for example high source of vitamin means the package has to have over a certain daily value while good source of vitamin is a different level. with regards to whole wheat you have to look for 100% and look on the ingredients list to make sure that the whole grain was used.Originally Posted by jasone
like i said i don't have a huge problem with bread however i'm talking more from a healthy, fairly active person with no blood sugar and/or endocrine problems to speak of.
