I want to build the greatest post workout shake of all times

Here are some of my thoughts, and maybe you guys can help me with more ideas of stuff to put in it.

    8oz Water
    8oz Organic Skim Milk
    4 Strawberries Stem Removed
    1/3 Cup of Oats
2 scoops EA Strawberry flavored Whey Protein
(Note) This is pretty good whey actually. I have had at least 20 different brands, and this whey taste the best, has 25g Protein per scoop, with 0 sugars.

What else should I add to this that would also taste halfway descent?

I would cut the milk to 4 oz and add 1/2 C. FF SF Plain Yogurt.

    Why Jodi? Just curious.

BigDyl, you take 4-5 grams of CEE before and after your workout?

If it's PWO sugar is not your enemy. I would add some more fruit. I love pineapple with strawberry, they make a great combo.

Which brings me to another question. If I am doing everything in my power to cut without losing muscle, can I have maybe 20g to 30g of sugar PWO in something like muscle milk combined with other carbs and extra whey?

That's a whole different story then. I personally cut by carb cycling. So, I would say allow room for no sugars. It all depends on the parameters of your cutting diet.

Is it possible to cut and add sugar to just your PWO shake? Yes!

That’s basically what I am asking, because I am running a very strict carb-cycling program right now. I don’t even like allowing small amounts of fruit to get into my diet usually.
So is my curse of being a pure endomorph.

Then no! Obviously, on your carb load days you can but otherwise avoid like the plague.

I'd avoid spiking your insulin if your cutting... not necessary.

I am also carb cycling. You should be eating <100 cals of fruit after each meal that contains carbs. The fructose from fruit will help keep liver glycogen stores full and keep your body in the fed state as opposed to starvation mode

KelJu, if memory serves, for an hour post workout ur body is really shit @ sending carbs into fat storage, so havin 20-50g of carbs post workout replenishes ur bodys glucose stores.

There are many factors here. With my carb cycle I stayed to no more than 50 carbs per day Monday - Friday. It worked very well for me. I know there are others schools of thought but I personally would stay away from added sugar in your PWO shake during your cut.

It's only useful if you react well to it. If you respond well to Creatine Mono then there is no need IMO.
