olympic lifters aka weightlifters compete in the clean and jerk and snatch, whereas powerlifters compete in the bench, squat and deadlift. not trying to be a dick, but just trying to get the word out to people because that kind of shit bothers me, its like people telling me i listen to techno....ITS FUCKIN HOUSE MUSIC!!! rant over.Originally Posted by JOHNYORK
as far as your kcal question is concerned, saying things like a lot, high cal etc is fairly useless as high kcal for me might be 4000 but high kcal for someone who is 130lbs is probably 3000. you do not need to eat ove maintanance to gain strength however i also wouldn't drop under maintanance as that will put a strain on your body in terms of recovering from workouts. you say you are happy with your mass/weight, so eat maintanance kcals and train for strength you'll get stronger as long as your training program is set up and executed properly.
