    Skinny too

hiya, i noticed your post and thought i would reply being very skinny myself.

Like you i was skinny being 6ft and weighing 64kg, basically around a week ago i had been following a workout guide from mens health as i was gaining weight rapidly by eating as often and frequently as possible.

At first i found both the working out and sticking to the eating very difficult and by not watching what i was eating i started to get a belly for the first time in my life. At first i thought it was kinda cool as i wasnt used to it and had always wanted to be bigger but then i started to think it looked odd so started excercising - and it was hard beating my belly. Anyway long story short i bought some creatine and protein shakes - stuck at an excercise program and now im 76kg and only recently after following the diets on this website did i start to notice an actual visual difference.

I was eating as much as possible with protein drinks and creatine - with a workout of 3 hours a day, 3 times a week.

Basically my point is that you too can do the same - as long as you dedicate yourself to it and eat the right foods. DIET IS SOOO IMPORTANT.

I am currently in the process of working off all the shit ive been eating (who'd beleive id ever be on a diet)

So if your looking for a proven workout for somebody thin and are wanting to get max results quick then get back to me and ill help you in any way i can - I can send you the workout ebook i have been using (dont worry i wont charge for anything)

    hope this helps

    cheers

    Liam

3 hours a day of working out? Is that with weights for 3 straight hours, because if it is I would be suprised if you are getting anywhere. I wouldnt go past an hour for a weight training session. Eat upwards torwards 4,000 calories a day, you shouldnt have a problem growing. Them of course are all foods filled with protein. Shoot for 200plus grams of protein a day.

yes 3 hours spaced out- obviously with the breaks between the excercises it does seem to extend the time taken to complete all forms of excercise.

This includes 15 mins on a tread mill, cardio etc, but i find it does take 3 hours overall. Personally i feel i have hardly done anything in an hour. if that sounds like too long to you get back to me please as i am following a weight training guide from mens health. And although it does finally seem to be paying off i am still a novice and have nothing to compare it to.

    cheers

yeah, try not to stay in the gym more than 2 hours. First of all, you begin hating to go; if this happens you are doomed. Make it enjoyable. I workout 5 days a week with an hour to an hour and a half in each of those days; I also separate with Monday- chest Tuesday - squat, leg extensions, leg press Wednesday - off Thursday - deadlift, calves etc. Friday - back and biceps Saturday - shoulders and traps. With this I can enjoy going by not being in the gym all day, while also getting all my major lifts at least once a week.

    hiya stick city,
So would you say its best to seperate days by specific parts of your body then ? I have been doing it all in each session 3 times a week. This is why it takes me 3 hours (all over). I have heard its best to do your back and biceps in the same session also.

I actually own all the relevant gym equipment so its not too bad. But i admit 3 hours and i find myself trimming the excercises a little and at the end i am exhausted.

Exactly. Separate muscle groups so that you can target them better, therefore increasing your results. A full body workout is not optimal b/c you get exhausted and slack off on muslce groups. There is no way you can be "doing it all" in one workout session 3 times a week. Reconsider.

why wouldn't you do triceps and chest on the same day? I mean you work out your triceps doing bench, so finish the job. Maybe try back and bi's and chest and tri's. Wednesday day is cool to rest and so is Sunday, but I would had another leg day if I were bulking to put in deadlifts on one day and squats on the other. You really need to find something that works best for you, but these are some ideas I have.
