Please, max, how many fat grams a day, in order

to continue dropping fat do I need? I weigh 97 lb and am 5 ft tall and have 20% body fat. Want to get to about 16% BF. Yes I know that getting to that number depends on your workout and caloric intake etc. But what I mean to ask, is how many fat grams is the most that I should take in a day in order to help continue getting leaner? Thanks

Don't worry about fat grams, worry about total calories.

That said, .3-.4 times your body weight in pounds is an appropriate intake of fats.

Not that it matters that much. A little extra healthy fats wouldn't hurt you, but extra calories would.

Read the stickies for more good information.

    Good luck.

Vanessa though, I hear if your caloric intake isnt enough then building muscle is really hard. Geez, I hate being so clueless. I am reading a lot though I read a lot of conflicting things out there. I do see that Im building some muscle so I guess Im doing something a little right. I just want to optimize my results.

Here check this out. If you take in more calories than you burn in a day you will gain fat. If you burn off more than you take in a day you will lose. This is even true with Chicken Breasts and clean foods like that. They are good foods, but if you eat to many and dont burn that off in a day you will still gain weight.
