back to subject- anytime I do any running or playing basketball, My legs hurt like hell after, and it gets to the point were it is hard for me to get off the couch, but the weird thing is when we play basketball in Gym class(in the gymnasium), I do not feel this pain afterwards... It is also keeping me from training my legs cause they hurt like hell most of the time

Also when I was sleeping the other night I was feeling etreme pain in my heart/chest area.

What do you suggest I do until I get to the doctor?, and does the leg pain happen to any of you heavy/fat youngsters after running around?

Please no jokes I am very self conscious.
You need to see a doctor.

    Angina pectoris can be serious.

Is it a sharp, stabbing pain or an aching type pain?

Does anything make it better? Do you have shortness of breath?

Like I said, see a doctor.

Since you are, as you put it, significantly overweight, use your ideal weight to estimate your ideal caloric intake. (How old are you? Are you still growing?)
So you're 6 feet...Given that you probably don't have huge amounts of muscle, 170 is an appropriate goal weight for you.

So, start with 15*170=2550 calories. If in two weeks you haven't lost 1 or two pounds, reduce this number by 250 calories.

Protein should be 170-255 grams per day.
Fats should be between 51 and 85 grams (mostly mono/polyunsaturated)
Carbohydrate you can play around with...just eat enough carbs to reach your goal caloric intake, but not enough to go over.

    Any questions?

(Listen, you really need to see a doctor about your chest pain. What you are describing is called paroxysmal nocturnal angina pectoris, and it can be a symptom of a serious problem. You need an EKG. Especially considering that you have risk factors [obesity])

Egg remove the yolks from most of them and just eat the whites. Also there have been many studies reflecting that dietary cholesterol has a very minimumal effect on blood cholesterol.

No, but the point I was trying to make is - I have a lot better diet and couple it with exercise and still don't see the same results as friends who do less in that area.

Genetics can be a bitch, huh?

But you can overcome. Don't psych yourself out by thinking you can't work around them...

There is no valid reason why anyone should have to be fat. You deserve better than that, so don't limit yourself with that kind of thinking.
