Heavy Whipping Cream and/or Flax in Protein Shakes

This is something I borrowed from another site and a person named Chris (just want to give credit where due), only modified, Pain style!

"Heavy Whipping Cream and/or Flax in Protein Shakes"

Avoiding fat is one of the biggest myths about dieting and fat loss. The problem with high carb diets is they keep your insulin levels raised all the time and the body can't burn fat in that state. Actually, the human body has evolved to eat a diet rich in protein and fat as its primary energy source, supplemented with some low-glycemic (low-sugar) carbs. This type of diet is what makes the human body lean and strong, contrary to the popularized low-fat, high carb diets of today's "health experts." The carbs that we eat are of this variety (slow-burners) since they don't trigger a heavy insulin response. The heavy cream in shakes is there to provide additional energy, since it's pure fat and fat won't affect your insulin levels. Fat also has more than twice the energy- (calories) producing capabilities as carbs. The cream works well with pure protein powders (no sugars) in making you lean. Flax oil can be used in place of heavy cream, but only use 1/2 to 1/3 the amount of flax in place of cream (i.e. 3 tbl cream = 1 tbl flax). Of course, flax is an FFA and has many beneficial properties, but that is another story!

*Note: we are not saying keto - low, get carbs to match your metabolism, but use fat as a primary energy source, so you spare your protein for repair and growth!

Also, fat at night, really helps with carb cravings, and after a while you don't even want sweets anymore!
