For those of you who carb deplete, or reduce carbohydrates for long periods of time, with adequate proteins and fats, your liver will make the needed glucose to keep your brain running smoothly. This is called hepatic gluconeogenesis!
My advice, and you need to know your own body on this, is to get enough slow burning carbs to keep your body out of ketosis, but in maximum fat burning territory! This varies per individual, usually between 40 and 120 grams of carb per day. (SLOW BURNERS) When switching over to such a program there is usually a 3-7 day acclamation period where you do feel as well as you did on excessive carbs, but many report increased energy above and beyond what they use to have. Ask Paris about this! The goal is to become a fat oxidizer, not be a carb burner! DP |

Eating enough protein can keep you out of ketosis too (albeit a rather expensive way.)

TP, ketosis may be all fine and dandy for short periods, but after a while your test levels and T3 levels crash. Not to mention reduced strength - if you're not shifting the same/similar loads you'll lose mass.
Ketosis = you not growing.
