whipping cream

What's up with the whipping cream? I've seen it mentioned in a meal plan or two around here and I just wondered why whipping cream? Is it a personal preference or is there major benefit from it?

W8? DP?

My workout partner and I have quickly discovered that there is so much information out there from so many different sources -- we are confused as to what is actually right for the two of us as individuals instead of what is "appropriate" for the general populus.

Thanks

Yep, you can use a couple of tbsp of heavy whipping cream (not whipped cream) diluted w/ water, in your shakes, oats, etc to replace milk, which has lactose.

Is lactose bad? And do the sugars in milk have a high glycemic value?

Not really a high GI, no. But milk is quite high on the insulin score.

An old reply I once made!

Quote:
I'm having difficulty finding the actually research, but I have it on good authority (from a very reputable site), that heavy cream directly increases ribosome synthesis and cortisol supression! No wonder trainers like Vince Gironda, Rheo Blair, and others were using cream (Vince used cream and half and half, but never milk!) to add lean body mass while reducing BF! (there are suppose to be measurable results-i.e. case studies)

Practical and gr8. Another 'lil idea thattastes good and feels like cheating, w/o the cals or carbs is to add a Tbs or 2 of cream to a diet coke. Tastes identical to a coke float

for non-harmful additional flavoring, diet cherry flavored "soda..coke..softdrink..pop...whatever" and diet coke in a 50/50 mixture (appr 12-16oz), 2Tbs cream, and .5 Tsp vanilla (c'mon, that doesn't constitue evil, in moderation... plus, alcohol can cause a temp increase in vascularity ).

hehehehe... I have too much creativity and too much time on my hands...

Foo Fighters is a fuqqin' candy-ass girl band but you've got that mother-fuqqer submitting songs [for the album], and those douchebags from the Offspring, too."
"...Dave Grohl? Fuq Dave Grohl! ...you're getting this guy to write songs for Ozzy? Just because he played drums for fuqqing Sh!tvana?"
