Good Day
The human body taken 3 hrs to process up to 40gs of any type of protein, anything over than ammount is converted into fat if its excess calories, which can be good if u are skinny (like me)

Tofu
Nuts(which can come under fats)
Rice
Wholewheat pasta
Bread( again in moderation)

Base it more on your lean muscle mass. Use 1 - 1.5 g/lbs for protein and go from there. There's no magic number because the more muscle you are supporting, the more protein you can utilize. Protein ain't the end all be all either because the body utlitizes the energy, vitamins and minerals extracted from carbs, and fats as well. Carbs can be protein sparring as well. So, your diet will affect a lot of this. The intensity of your training will factor in as well.
There's no one number.

This is all interesting. Let me tell you a little bit about my background. back in 98 a friend of my and I were talking about bodybuilding, he mention a guy Nasser Elsomboti, I got curious and did some research on the guy. Needless to say I was impress with the guys physique. At the time I weight 120-125lbs (I was a toothpick) Where I worked at the time, there was small gym, nothing fancy by all means, so I started training. I went from 125 to 145 in about a 1 1/2 years. Perhaps it's worth mentioning that I did not pay attention to the diet thing and also had no appropiate lifting techniques that led to a shoulder injury, consequently putting my training to a complete halt.
I was frustrated. I was stuck in 150lbs. The worst part was that I had a belly.
I did not get back into training untill 2 1/2 weeks ago. Married now and with a beer belly, I found this web site. I have being following some of the diet samples and routines. I am happy to inform you all that I have reach 175lbs I am loossing my belly, I feel strong, I am bench pressing weights I never tought I could before! I must say the diet its a bitch I am trying my best to make it a habit I have eliminated sodas and empty sugars all together. My darling wife is such a help, she packs my meals early in the morning, so I dont have to miss one! I have some good days, and bad days, but this time I am sticking with it.
that rumor started out in Muscle and Fitness and was stated by Lou Ferrignomany years ago. He's a peckerhead, so I wouldnt give it any clout. Personally, I think thats bullshit.Originally Posted by 911=InsideJob

btw-I take in at least 40-60g in each feeding every three hours. More when dieting for show. I really dont think it gets converted to BF as simple as that. Where you'd get that source of information?
