i may need to start working out in the morning instead of afternoon. what is a good idea as far as food to consume before a workout...ill probably be working out at 8am and probably eating around 7(this can be changed if needed). thanks.
If your trying to loose weight you can often burn more calories working out on an empty stomach, but that can suck.If not definately go with something small and simple like egg whites.

working out on an empty stomach = less weight lost
make the calculation while you work out on an empty stomach your energy will be at minimum , and you'll burn less calories , when u'll also toggle on starvation mode... though all calories you will burn will come from stored fat but that's not the way to lose fats, the way to lose fat is to burn more calories than you consume in the whole day.....
while working out on a full stomach you'll increase your metabolic rate , and burn more calories in the gym cause your body will be fueled , and also you'll build more muscles when you'll be able to lift more weight and do more effort....
i drink one of my two shakes in the morning when i wake up , cause i'm usually dehydrated when i wake up ( weather is too hot here) so i am always too lazy to prepare anything when i wake up.... but i would suggest the oats + milk or yogurt + egg whites.....it's not a good idea to workout after just having a shake.... shakes are good post workout only..........
