    What to eat with Tuna?

    For one of my meals I eat a can of tuna and two slices of whole wheat bread. This only adds up to 290 calories and I need 600 for each meal. What would go good with this meal?

    I would eat two cans with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, two tablespoons of olive oil = around 200 cals I think.

    Add 1/4 cup of almonds, and glass of skim milk.

    Almonds = 200 cal
    1 cup of milk = 90 cal
    Sandwich = 290 cal

    Total = 580 (close enough)

    I wouldn't necessarily call 50-60g of protein WAY overkill. In fact, I take in ~300g of protein per day, so that averages to 50 per meal. Whether that much is necessary is certainly debateable, but for one meal, I think it's alright.
