Question Drinking water

Hi all,

I've read from many sources that we need to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily.

My questions:
1. Is this the minimum quantity? What is the maximum quantity of water to be drank daily?
2. What beverages can replace plain water to fulfill that daily requirement?

I'd say that on workout days it would be benefical to drink even more than 8 glasses. 4 Litres a day id say isnt hard to do once you get in the routine.

About alternatives you could always choose foods like tuna etc that have their own juices. Skimmed milk i also drink reguraly at least 2 litres a day.

Whats your current dietry aims? are you looking for water consumption to go with a high protein diet?

Is there any maximum quantity, I mean, the upper limit where drinking more than that would turns to be not beneficial?

Shouldnt think so as you would just pass it more quickly... Although you might sometimes not feel as hungry which could make you miss meals etc.

I read an article a long time ago about drinking too much water. It stated at an extreme it can screw up your electrolyte balance.

I want to say it was 4+ gallons a day!

You would be in the all day!

To refuse to learn anything that could prove beneficial to yourself is a working definition of stupid!

High-intensity training is going all-out, not almost all out. It is taking one set to one's absolute limit, not almost to the limit. It is using whatever equipment’s available. It is not the words of two or three men, but a commitment to work as hard as possible while in the gym without socializing, resting excessively between sets, or falling prey to the 'this isn't going to work so I'll copy the star' attitude"

Just remember that drinking too much water can be unhealthy.

I think anything in excess can be unhealthy but with water would have to consume a pretty high volume.

there is a point of excess, friend of mine who's a nurse found that out one day. When the nurses were telling her about somebody who died there the night before. The chic was on E and I guess just started drinking water and wouldn't stop. Nobody said how much she drank but the doctors said that it wasn't the E that killed her it was all the water.

how's that for freaky. lol
