I just came off a binge weekend with a few too many sweets and bad carbs. Did not do any weight training either but did go for a surf on Sat morning.
I swear I have added a belt notch over the weekend, my pants are so tight around the waist today.
My question is would I have gained additional fat around my waist over the weekend? Or would this be a combination of water/fat etc.
I would have thought fat took longer than 2 days to develop.
id say a combination. It really doesnt take long

Bro, your body will store fat ANYTIME you eat beyond what it needs. I learned that the hard way long ago. People think they can get away with cheats- you might, so long as you continue working out and burning sufficient calories.
Plus if you ate lots of 'bad carbs/sugars' you blood sugar was sent soaring and it packed away fat even faster.
Take comfort in this. You can only metabolize so many callories at once, you shit out the rest. Just the food and water in the stomach can cause the bloat you have.

Id agree with that. Pants are feeling a little better 3 days after weekend and I have eaten clean for these 3 days with 1 workout so far.
Gotta cut out the binges altogether. Im the type of person that cant cheat on a diet coz I take it way to far.
