    Need a good site that provides the Glycemic Index for foods

    I found some sites, but they all contridict eachother. One says an Apple has a GI of 57, another has 34.

    Depends on the apple....some varieties are sweeter than others....hence the different response.

    Same with bread....you can only average the results becasue the ingredient list are all different.

    GI goes all to hell once combined with protiens and fats anyway so don't get overly worked up about it. Know that an apple is generally considered a low GI food....the actual number is relatively meaningless.
