    In-Between Meal

I just had my schedule changed at work. Now I'm going to have to do my cardio and lifting all in the morning. My morning will look like this.

    0700 1 hour cardio
    0830 meal 1
    0930 weight training
    1045 PWO shake

My questions is what kind of meal should I be eating in between the workouts. Oatmeal and egg whites are what I'm leaning towards. Should I add fat, or maybe go with a shake instead. Any suggestions?
I hope that donkey doesn't have a heinie troll!

Oats n eggs are ok. Since you were going to eat oats, I'm assuming you're not low-carbing or anything, so here are a few other suggestions:

    - A slice (or two depending on your goals and the size of the slices) of whole grain bread or sprouted grain bread, and a tablespoon of peanut butter, and 1 cup of skim milk or lactaid if you're intollerant

    - A cup of shredded wheat and 6-8 oz. of skim milk/lactaid,

    - a medium sized meal replacement bar (with carbs & protein, ex. myoplex deluxe or advantedge).

    - a ~300-cal meal replacement shake (with carbs & protein, not a protein shake) - you can pick up ready-to-drink shakes or make your own if you've got the time.

    - whole wheat tortilla (~140-150 cals) and a few egg whites (or hard boiled eggs, discard the yolks)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm only limiting carbs after 5-6pm, just veggies or carbs from natural peanut butter. I'll probably rotate those meals every day. The only one I wouldn't use would be the shake... I'd like to keep that meal as real food, since after lifting will be a PWO shake. Thanks again.
