post-postworkout meal
I take a whey-quick oats shake 1 min after workout....like 30 grams of protein and 45 grams of carbs....
..Now 45 -60 minutes later should I go with the oat pancake (whey, egg whites,oat-bran,normal oats) which is very easy for me to digest since it is also low in fat . (30 grams protein , 45 grams of carbs)....and then eat a proper meal 2 hours later..... Or should I go with proper meal 1 hour after my post-workout shake instead skipping the pancake...... P.s Proper meal = chicken/meat, carbs( oats, rice etc) and veggies

The pancake sounds like a proper meal as well, you can add some fish oil or flax oil caps to that meal. Egg whites are protein, oats are carb. Just because the meal doesn't include a piece of meat doesn't mean it isn't a proper meal.
You can always TURN it into a proper meal (by your definition) by making it a "spanish style tortilla" (frittata sortof). Replace the oats with cut up pieces of sweet potato or potatoes, add some peppers and onions, and replace the whey powder with cut up chicken or turkey ham, or even lean steak. |
