avocado?
Hi all, havent posted here in a loooong time.
Well I was wondering on everyones opinion of the avo.. I personally think that It tastes great, and quite convenient although I have heard that It is quite high in fats, but the good kind.. I probably eat about 1 a week, this ok? thanks. |

Avacados are meant to be one of the best fruits you can eat in terms of the ratio of carbs/protein/fat. Its suposed to be one of natures best foods. They are quite dense in calories and fat but as you say, its the good kind. Personally I dont like the texture and so I usually have them with yoghurt or another sweet fruit. I can eat as many as 3 week and unless your cutting its not really a problem how many you have in my opinion.

Avacdos are an excellent source of monounsatured fats, which should constitute somewhere around 35-50% of your fat intake for the day. Olive oil is another excellent source of monounsaturated fats.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
