W8, Dp - Can You Tell Me Please...
I WOULD LIKE TO GET SOME INFO ON HOW TO EAT TO STAY LEAN AND CONTINUE TO GET BIGGER, EVEN IF SLOWER THAN ON A REGULAR BULKING DIET. I AM DOING THE HIGH PROTEIN/MOD. FAT/LOW CARB DIET RIGHT NOW THAT I GOT FROM YOU (BEVERLY), AND IT'S GOING GREAT. BUT, I WANT TO STAY LEAN AFTER THAT, AND NOT HAVE TO GAIN AND LOOSE FAT AGAIN. I AM SURE, YOU POSTED ON THIS, CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE ME A LNK OR SO? THANX AGAIN!!!

Will answer in depth tomorrow, bedtime now! Basicaly think in 3-5 week seqments, always changing things up so that the body doesn't have time to adapt! also we can talk about mini-cycles?
We try to change things like meal frequency, macronutrients, sometimes just the types and quantity of fats! There are a lot of tricks! W8 has put a good meal plan of mine derived from Beverly somewhere around here..see you in the morning! DP |

would u say, that u have to eat more cals to gain muscle, and that this in impossible w/o also a small fat gain, making a cutting phase necessary, or could u gain muscle w/o any fat gain, if u get the amount of extra cals exactly right? i know, i like to get into details and make things complicated sometimes

I call it Recomposition, and yes it is possible! I myself, and scores I have advised have acomplished this.
Think for a second, if your on "Maintenance" calories, with the appropriate Macronutrient ratios, it is very conceivable that you could add LBM and lose a similar amount of BF, w/o a change in BW. One can also add LBM ever so slowly that fat gain is kept to a minimum, the more LBM, the higher that person's metabolism, the easier it becomes to oxidize BF! You have partially answered your own question, it's an individualistic thing, far more critical to get the macros, frequency and portions right, and then the calories will fall where they may! However, if I tell you all of the "secrets" we will never sell as many books! ![]() DP |

Saw this last night, and thought about it. We can send you to the Beverly International site and you can read through their archives....or I can suggest a book by Jay Robb, "Fat Burning Nutrtuion.".....etc.
But when I though about it, I thought that would only give you info and not really tell you how to apply it, and change with it! So what you asking for comes from years of experience, trial and error, on ourselves and countless others..........and although we can take certain liberties with general somatotypes, metabolisms and BWs........this "science" is applied on a case by case basis with extreme flexibility!
