Gyros /doner

I just had a gyro from a greek restaurant. The restaurant is called "It's greek to me". Gyro is made from Ground Lamb and cooked using the upright grill.

I wish I could give weight I would say it's at least a 1/3lb of meat and then there is the pita which I didn't eat and a yoghurt sauce which I skipped also, so I had the meat with fresh tomatoes.

I should have went for the grilled chicken but wasn't thinking.

from my experience gyros/doner/souvlaki meat is of very poor quality and has very high levels of fat.

The meat is just packed onto the spit and you can see all the fat piling at the bottom. It does taste good though.

See?? No questions....and if you did answer your own question, it wasn't how many calories it has or how much fat....heh

i am greek...
gyros made from chicken is bad
gyros made from pork is worst
gyros made from lamb is even worst

depending on your goals even if you are bulking it is better to consider better choices with the same calories..

kebab is much much better.and good ...

anyway one meal wont harm you at all...

Did it pass the taste test? If it tasted unbelievably good, then it was unbelievably bad for you.
