2 food questions: Steak and Whole Wheat Pasta

1) Do I weigh whole wheat pasta before or after it is boiled? 85 grams of dry uncooked pasta becomes about 140 grams after I boi it. I assume this is from water absorbtion but for the sake of calorie counting when do i weight it?

2) Top Sirloin Steak 7oz has 1.6grams of sat fat and 4.6 grams fat total,(chicken has .9 grams sat fat and 3 grams fat total) so not much more fat then chiken. Is it ok to eat this 4 or 5 times a week as I am getting sick and tired of chicken and I cant stand fish

For the sake of calorie counting....dry weight. What's on the box should be the information based on dry weight.

Steak is great but I'm not sure if I would want to eat that much. However I don't have a solid reason to tell you not to, other than what you already recognize with the bad fat issues.

Have you tried any of the billion methods you can use to prepare turkey? I find it a great alternative when I start getting tired of chicken. Less fat too. It sort of goes in cycles with my tastes..

I do love red meat though. Lean cuts of Top Sirloin
