    Question Too much sugar?

Does anybody know what the amount of sugar intake is resonable before causing negative effects?

Ummm...what do you mean by "negative affects"? Too much sugar will cause your energy levels to fluctuate wildy, it'll give you zits, and it's bad for your teeth. Simple sugary carbs aren't too good. Stick with complex carbs for energy. Have a whole wheat bagel instead of a Twinkie.

It happens to me...anytime I consume a lot of sugar, I get zits. It's annoying. I'm 28 years old...shouldn't get zits.

    Not necessarily.

It's a good idea to avoid sugar, just becuase most sugars are nothing but empty calories. Simple sugar gives a sharp increase in energy, followed by a sharp decline. Complex carbs give a sustained release of energy.

Complex carbs are much better for energy, but won't necessarily keep the fat off.
