    Serving size: 1 cake

    fat: 1.5 g
    sodium 180mb
    total carb: 22g
    dietary fiber 13g
    sugars 2g
    protein 5g

    ingredients: bran, water, white grape, whole wheat flour, blueberries, sodium bicarbonate, salt

    Is this ok to have with my last meal, which includes some sort of protein and good fats. also this is a relaly good source of fiber right?

    Doesnt look too bad, but it doesnt look particulary amazing either. How much of that fat is saturated? Depending on your goals I guess its ok, only 80 calories and theres nothing particularly nasty in the ingredients.

    Sorry must have missed this. Yeah, it looks good. However, I would not have it at your last meal. You should really keep carbs to a minimum at your last meal. Yeah, it's has a lot of good fiber from the bran.

    Doesn't matter if you are cutting or bulking, carbs in your last meal of the day releases cortisol during your sleep. It disturbs your circadian rhythm patterns because your adrenal glands will produce cortisol which will disturb your sleep. The reason that most of you all care about is: higher cortisol results in fat storage around your abdomen. Carbs in the AM and Carbs around your workouts are the best ways for building LBM.

    Gotcha... So, my last meal of the day was usually a whole grain bagel with natural peanut butter and 1 cup of cottage cheese...

    What should I have now? Just Cottage Cheese?

    Hehe, believe it or not its not as bad as you think, its a weird combination but its actually alrite, and if you put in a few drops of olive oil you've got yourself a very good small meal with a very good amount of protein and good fat.

    Ideally pre bed meal would consist of protein from meat, green veggies , and healthy fats. Finished being eaten 1 hour before bed.

    I ditch carbs 3-4 hours before bed. My last meal is meat and greens only.
    6 hours is even better I suppose, but I don't think it's necissary.

    This is what I eat too. Also, I have heard that the insulin release that results from carbs before bed isn't good because it intereferes with the body's utilization of IGF-1 (I'm guessing they both require access to the GLUT-4 cell receptors or something, just a guess though), which is an active form of GH.
    The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

    1. Circadian Rhythm disturbance
    2. Increase Cortisol
    3. Interferes with utilization of IGF-1

    what if someone were to eat say, I don't know....2 bags of licorice, every Sunday (while watching football of course) and then accidently pass out. Does this count as the same thing?
