isn't near 100% of the fibre in the skin and core? suits me fine because i consume the core and seeds too - in fact the seeds are my favourite bit.
I should try that. I like kiwi and pineapple skin, so this can't be that bad.
Also, mike, apples are good for other reasons previously mentioned. First of all, they are very low GI. It's an excellent carbohydrate if you are looking to control your insulin levels (As you should). It's also very practical in that it's portable, quick to eat, and tastey!
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
