That is fucked up.

The ADA should be investigated, and the board shot. They seem like the most corrupt fuckers, lining their pockets with big pharma companies profits.

The fact that metformin has 1.1 billion in sales is disgusting, and the fact that doctors refuse to treat the underlying problem and just bandaid it with drugs is beyond me.

This is why I hate going to doctors, I don't fucking trust one of them, they are just as bad a Politicians. Don't get me wrong there are some good ones, but trying to find them is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Interesting article P-funk, especially since diabetes may run in my family. It's really hard to believe it could be that simple. Aren't there many studies that show low carb diets to be very harmful to your health?

I totally agree with your point of view! There are too many doctors in my area that are "pill pushers"... in fact I had taken my stepdaughter in for a injury she received in softball (bruised ribs) and the doctors immediately prescribed lortabs for her,,, jesus, she's only 13!! There was no flippin way I was going to give a kid those! Insane

Yeah, I can't believe they state in the article a co-author for the nutritional guidelines for the ADA saying they were written to prevent heart disease in the long run and not really diabetes itself. That statement kind of ruins their credibility a bit doesn't it?

I am amazed at how little some doctors seem to know and how often some of them will push prescription drugs and RX drug samples on you.
