I know we caclate the amount of protein intake a person needs by looking at his current weight, but how do you caculate it? For example, I'm 123 lbs (nice number
), so how many grams of protein do I need everyday?------------------ I don't have a great body, but as long as I work hard like now, I'm gonna reach there. |

The rule of thumb is 1 - 1 1/2 grams of protein per pound of body weight. So, for you that would be 123grams - 185grams of protein per day.

Depending on your goals, that might be good, if your looking to put on muscle i would maybe make it 200 or so.
